Cookies Policy

Flarient uses a minimal set of cookies and browser storage. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. This policy was last updated on 20 August 2026.

1. Essential cookies

If you register or sign in, authentication session cookies are required to keep you logged in and secure. These cannot be disabled if you wish to use an account, and you can clear them by signing out.

2. Analytics cookies

Google Analytics 4 uses cookies to measure aggregate, anonymised traffic. We have enabled IP anonymisation and disabled advertising and Google signals. Under the limited-analytics configuration no consent banner is required. You can block these cookies in your browser settings without affecting the dashboard.

3. Preference storage (local storage, not cookies)

The following preferences are stored in your browser's localStorage on your device. This data is not transmitted to our servers and is not shared:

• Theme (dark, light, high-contrast) and lite mode setting.
• Selected language and cached UI translations.
• Asteroid watchlist.
• Dashboard layout and customised section order.
• Equipped cosmetics state (avatar frame, badge style, profile theme) — cached locally for instant display and refreshed from the server.
• Visit streak and last visit date.
• A/B test assignment.
• Onboarding tour completion state.
• Install app prompt dismissal state.
• Reading progress and recently viewed pages.
• Kp alarm sound settings.

4. Push notification subscriptions

If you enable web push notifications, your browser generates a push subscription (endpoint URL and cryptographic keys) that is stored server-side to deliver alerts to your device. This subscription is linked to your account and can be deleted from the account page or by disabling notifications in your browser settings.

5. Email preferences

Your email subscription preferences (weekly recap, daily digest, storm alerts, aurora alerts, flare alerts) are stored server-side and linked to your account. Each email we send includes a personalised unsubscribe link that lets you turn off specific alert types or all emails. You can also manage all preferences from your account page. No tracking pixels or open-rate cookies are used in our emails.

6. Messaging bot data

If you use our Telegram or Facebook Messenger bots, your chat ID, username, language preference, alert threshold and (for Telegram) saved location are stored server-side to deliver alerts. This data is not stored in cookies or local storage. You can delete your bot data by unsubscribing or emailing us.

7. Direct messaging and friends

Direct messages, friend requests, and conversation state are stored server-side linked to your account, not in cookies or local storage. A small in-browser flag may be used to track which message popups you have dismissed so they do not reappear.

8. No third-party advertising cookies

Flarient does not display advertising and does not set advertising cookies. We do not share data with advertising networks. Our social media posts to Discord, LinkedIn and Facebook Pages are published through authorised connector accounts and do not set tracking cookies on flarient.com. Some blog articles contain contextual affiliate links to third-party retailers. When you click an affiliate link and visit the retailer's website, that site may set its own cookies governed by the retailer's cookie policy. Flarient does not control or benefit from cookies set by third-party retailer websites.

9. Managing and disabling cookies

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their privacy settings. Disabling analytics cookies does not affect dashboard functionality. Essential cookies are only set when you sign in. Local storage data can be cleared from your browser's site settings.
