Why radar and sensor context matters
Many UAP reports originate from radar tracks, infrared sensors and satellite instruments. These systems are sensitive to space weather: geomagnetic storms disturb the ionosphere, solar flares cause radio blackouts, and high-energy particle events produce sensor noise. A radar "anomaly" during a G3 storm may be environmental, not anomalous.

Current conditions are unlikely to produce sensor artifacts.
Radar refraction
Ionospheric disturbances bend and scatter HF radar signals, creating phantom tracks and false velocity readings.
Sensor noise
Solar particle events saturate infrared and optical detectors, producing streaks and flashes that mimic anomalous objects.
GPS spoofing
Scintillation during storms degrades GPS accuracy, causing position jumps that can appear as sudden manoeuvres.
